The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of Local Union #456, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, will accept applications for apprenticeship, the first Monday of each month beginning March 06, 2006, through December 04, 2006, from 9:00 AM until 4:00PM at the Frank Marchitto Building, 1295 Livingston Avenue, North Brunswick, New Jersey 08902.
POSITION 1 -- APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN
POSITION 2 -- TELECOMMUNICATIONS INSTALLER- TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE
ALL APPLICANTS MUST FULLY MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS TO QUALIFY FOR INTERVIEW:
1. AGE - 18 years minimum.
2. EDUCATION- High school graduate /GED – one year algebra-required Official transcript required.
3. APTITUDE TEST- General Aptitude Test Administered by I.B.E.W.
4. DRIVER’S LICENSE - Valid N.J. license to be presented at time of application.
5. PHYSICAL CONDITION - Physical exam or other reliable evidence required as requested.
6. RESIDENCE - Applicant must live in jurisdictional territory of Local Union #456, which includes Middlesex County and portions of Somerset County. Proof of residence is required.
The Committee will interview each applicant who meets all basic requirements. All applicants will be received without regards to race, color, religion, national origin or sex.
Each applicant must meet all basic requirements to be eligible for interview. Apprentices will be selected in order of their ranking resulting from rating of interviewers.
TO QUALIFY FOR INTERVIEW, YOU MUST FURNISH THIS COMMITTEE WITH A COPY OF YOUR OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT, BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND MILITARY DISCHARGE WITHIN ONE MONTH OF APPLICATION. THESE ITEMS ARE NECESSARY EACH TIME YOU APPLY UNLESS PREVIOUSLY INTERVIEWED BY THE JOINT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING COMMITTEE. PROOF OF ANY OTHER ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO ONE- MONTH DEADLINE.
